Today is the NFL Draft. A day when a bunch of 20 and 21 year olds realize their dreams of making the NFL. And also a day where fans of all 32 (actually 31 since the Saints decided to Kill Frank Gore's head and forfeited their 1st round pick) NFL teams flock to the city to get drunk and cheer or boo their teams 1st round pick. For me and the rest of the Big Blue faithful we'll be waiting until about 3AM since we have the last pick and ESPN has to make everything a freakin production nowadays. I mean the Colts and the Redskins already have said who their picking weeks ago, but I'm sure they will both wait until the final seconds of the allotted 10 mins to make their fuckin pick like a bunch of assholes because ESPN probably tells them to. At least we have the Rangers game tonight to keep us occupied and the Jets should pick around 10-1030 which is always comical, unless they mortgage future drafts for Trent Richardson whcih they probably will.
Unfortunately as my girlfriend who works across the street from Radio City told me she's looking out her window watching them setup for the draft. And what am I doing, I'm sitting in a fucking cube surrounding by a bunch of assholes pretending to do work. I've always wanted to attend the draft just to see what its all about, like what do you do between the picks, do you just sit there and drink beer, do they have TV's to watch Kipers hair possibly move, do they show games, what exactly do you do. I guess just pummeling beers at probably $10 a clip is the only thing to do.
So I'll be watching at 3am when the Giants are finally on the clock to see who our next 1st round stud will be. God Bless Jerry Reece and Lets GO RANGERS!!!!
